The 60th Anniversary of Sagamihara Factory Completion!!

On October 10th 1963, Yamada Corporation's main factory was completed in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Before then, Yamada had a number of different small manufacturing units around its headquarter in Tokyo. However, Yamada decided to consolidate all those small production facilities to a single location because early 1960's was when the Japanese economy was growing rapidly, and the demand of pneumatic pumps was increasing accordingly. This is how Sagamihara Factory was completed in 1963. In the following year 1964, Yamada successfully produced 50,000 units of lubricator, and the production of the lubricators even reached 100,000 units in 1967!

Since then, Yamada has been producing air-driven pumps such as grease pumps, piston pumps or Air-Operated Double Diaphragm pumps in the same factory. While Yamada's pneumatic pump technologies have been passed down from generation to generation, they have also been gradually evolved for the past decades, in accordance with the changes of the world's market.

In 2021, a new facility Sagamihara Fab was completed. This new factory was built in the same location, - the old facility was once demolished and the new one was built. The new factory 'Sagamihara Fab' was named after 'Fabulous' and 'Fabrication'.

Today, when just 60 years have passed since the completion of the factory, Yamada still delivers pneumatic pumps with the greatest technologies from the same place. Yamada will be continuously producing more developed products from here in the future, wishing for customer satisfaction!
